CLNFREAK
so I am going to put two C&D batterys (these : www.cdstandbypower.com )in the impala, I was going to put a 12V Continuous Duty 200 amp Solenoid between the car battery/alt and the rear batterys. the rear batterys will be run in paralle for 12volts. the altanator is 150 amp. or should I put solenoid on each battery ? can I use a smaller solenoid or is bigger (I am no where near 200a) ok ? newls1
the only thing you should run between the batts are fuses.......period. I love my staffie So anti FACEBOOK it isn't even funny
Stephen
no solenoids you can cook bacon shirtless if you're not a pussy...lol not hatin, but am i wrong here it looks as if the amp is not grounded its hooked directly to the battery. it that the way it should be. superdave07
X2 x3 there is no need for them. only fuses. Even a constant duty silenoid would get too hot. A silenoid is a large relay, if u'd like to think of it that way, theres no turning the power on and off= no need for silenoid. Hope that helps some.... CLNFREAK
is this still true if the front battery is a regular "liquid" battery and the rear ones are agm. isolator will cause to much voltage drop. I think
Gotloud555
Fuses or isolators have resistance so you do get voltage drop. I did add fuses don't bother with isolators because that good for turning off your vehicle while you play your system with battery on only.. NOt not good for the system..
