Joshslvl4xl
I'm kinda new here and i think this is where this goes. I just upgraded my system again and ran into a problem. some songs that used to be loud on my old system arent any more. both the new box and old box were tuned the same and i cant figure out why some of the songs i used to love to play arent as loud. the usual jeezy and gorilla zoe songs still beat but songs like white girl, six 12's and most of my gucci mane are not as loud. is this something with the songs i have or is it somethin else? moh.vze.com
Did you move your box? I remember when I moved my box a couple of foot away from the trunk rear, I loss that "kick" feel on my back during bass notes, but gained better SQ Quote DC Audio - Singer Alternators - Knukonceptz - XS Power - Hybrid Audio - Rockford Fosgate - Second Skin Audio - SMD - Sundown Audio - Elemental Designs
Joshslvl4xl
different settings on the HU? did you change the settings on the amp or is this just a direct swap out of subs and box? no they were left exactly the same but i did get a new amp did you cnage your amp setting? what ar the differences between your old setup and new one? i went from 2 m3 12's and a pr 1000 to two mojo 15's and 2 mrp m2000's Did you move your box? I remember when I moved my box a couple of foot away from the trunk rear, I loss that "kick" feel on my back during bass notes, but gained better SQ well the box is a lil bigger than the last one. maybe 9 inches closer to the back door. that shouldn't make that big of a difference should it Quote Ride-1996 Toyota 4Runner Limited Edition Head Unit-Alpine iXA-W404 Front Speakers-Memphis M-Class 6 1/2 Oversize Subs-2 DC Lvl 4xl 15's Amps-2 Sundown 3500d's Batteries-2 Batcap 2000's 240 amp Iraggi Alternator Wiring-Memphis 0 Gauge Kit Extra-Compustar Alarm/Remote Start/Keyless Entry

cqtama
well all of tht makes a huge difference. if you go from 2 12's to 2 15's there gunna get louder on different notes. not only lthat but even 2 diffent types of 12's will like different frequencies. plus! and this is what really made the difference your box is bigger! ported or sealed? if its prted its probably tuned different than before and even if you had a sealed box a bogger sealed box will sounds slightly different than the smaller one. which part of the box is closer to the door? is it the sub side? port side? that will make a difference. not so much if its not one of those though. Edit: also almost forgot the amp. you changd amps so make sure you set your filters and gains correctly. different filter and Xover setting will change the sound slightly, simply becausew its recting to the frequencies differently Edited January 2, 2010 by cqtama Quote R.I.P '01 blazer you treated my ears well until your transmission blew up.
