Bolt Terminals

I'm wanting to know how to do the bolt terminals that it looks like im seeing on some of the boxes in the Member Builds threads.

Is it as simple as running a bolt through the box and using some ring connectors to connect the wire to the bolts?

PS: I did search before posting :good:

Had to poke my nose in here...been wondering about them too.

You don't lose any signal quality going through a bolt? I mean some are funky alloys etc.

Just curious...building a box soon and I'm looking at terminal options

I didn't use washers, just extra nuts. But doing this is a lot easier than people think it is, not much to it. You could also add some silicone onto the bolt to ensure no air leakage

thats what i do, but i used threaded rod instead of bolts. mine is nut/terminal/washer/box/washer/terminal/nut, then i can get a wrench on the inside of the box and outside to tighten them, but i dont change my wiring ever. i also put silicone around the whole between the washers and box before i tighten it all up.

thats how i do it too. that way you can disconnect things without the bolt getting loose or anything.

wingnuts are great too, cuz you can disconnect without needing a wrench
