Ndnkobra
Hey guys, i was wondering what would be the better option of the two for my big 3. I know crimping the lugs would have the least resistance, but who knows how long it would take for the wire to come loose while i'm driving one day and burn down my car. Soldering seems more safe. I was wondering if anyone has actually crimped their lugs properly and it hasnt caused any problems for them since

Shyne151
I agree on crimping... I've never solder my terminals again since I got a hydraulic crimper from harbor freight... also solder adds slight resistance... Afrodeezyak
I use to crimp all my connections and it worked great never had a problem, switched to 1/0 wire and started soldering cause i thought it was easier to do

c_stud
i like to crimp smaller gauge wires because every time i solder one i can pull it right back off, for bigger gauge wire's i like to solder them whenever i can Quote 1998 Nissan 200sx NOW: Dex-p98r head Planet Audio 300.4 mids and highs Planet Audio/Pioneer tweeters/crossovers Skar SK1500.1 3 SKAR Vvx15 dual 4 wired at .
