Hey guys, i was wondering what would be the better option of the two for my big 3. I know crimping the lugs would have the least resistance, but who knows how long it would take for the wire to come loose while i'm driving one day and burn down my car. Soldering seems more safe. I was wondering if anyone has actually crimped their lugs properly and it hasnt caused any problems for them since

Crimping is ok, but i'm positive that soldering is the best and safest way to go.

Hydraulic Crimping FTW

well your wrong bud

a propperly crimped connection will outlast soldering any day, but solder > hammered crimp or vice crimp

I agree on crimping... I've never solder my terminals again since I got a hydraulic crimper from harbor freight... also solder adds slight resistance...

Check out this thread I made awhile back:

i like to crimp smaller gauge wires because every time i solder one i can pull it right back off, for bigger gauge wire's i like to solder them whenever i can
