First i would watch the 15.1V continous charge voltage. 4 D3100 total would give you no worries, but you could probably get away with just one more. Rainman215
I have 1 5100 and 4 1200s.. I rest at 12.8-9. Charges at 14.7-15.0 When I turn the car off it rests at 13.2 and trickles down to 12.8 or so... Are these all optimal voltage levels? I was considering buying a charger but if these are where they need to be then there's no point... You would be good for daily use, but I personally would run 3 D3100 in the back at least for competition use. You are going to be pulling more than the alt can produce, so you will be pulling straight from the batteries while doing demos and comps. I like to have a lot of reserve, so the voltage will stay up and not make the amp work so hard. I have 1 5100 and 4 1200s.. I rest at 12.8-9. I will say though you will extend the life of your batteries if you charge at least once a month with a good charger.
Pro7
I'm wondering what battery would be best for my setup. I have a 600rms watts pioneer amp right now and am going to add an AQ1200D with 1200 rms watts. I was gonna do the big three but wasn't sure what battery to get in addition to the one under the hood. I have a stock 120 amp alt and also wasn't sure how to wire everything thanks! Jason_D
What would I need to run 2 sundown saz3500's? Would 2 D3100's be ok? Both in the rear, with 200plus amp alt?
