XS Power Battery Wattage Guide

Recommended Posts

Just installed some gear in my new daily driver, and as luck would have it, it looks like my battery is starting to give up. It's pretty old, so I have no complaints. I will list what I am working with and hopefully someone can tell me what is the best direction to go in.

2004 Toyota Corolla

Stock alternator

SKAR Audio RP-75.4AB

RMS Power @ 4 ohms : 75 watts x 4 (14.4v)

SKAR Audio RP-1500.1D

RMS Power @ 2 ohms : 930 watts x 1 (14.4)

I installed 1/0 cable from the battery to the amplifiers when I put them in.

What do you suggest/offer in the way of a battery? Any direction is greatly appreciated.

So when calculating the rms for battery size, do I take the rms of the amps or speakers.

If you want more advice for your electrical system a new thread will help you more, but when you are determining the power you will be drawing you will look at the amps outputting that power. Not the subwoofer/speakers receiving the power.
