Neo_frog Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 So I'll be removing the entire A/C system here shortly. I'm just wondering if there is anything I should be concerned about. My thought was to bleed the pressure off before cranking wrenches, but that's the only thing I can think of. Let me know what you know. Quote Need an install? Blue_C1500 Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 Even after you get it evacuated be careful when you take the lines off because usually it will build some pressure back up. Especially if your car has an expansion valve as opposed to an orifice tube. It's usually not a lot of pressure but it tends to blow oil everywhere if you don't remove them slowly. I've never done this before so every abnormal condition (including safety tips) helps out. Thanks! Quote Need an install? Hit me up.[email protected]Got car audio questions? Chances of damage the ozone layer would need just more than that.. Quote
treossi Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 bring your car to a shop, they will often take your refrigerant for free! btw it's not called freon... to the people that thing it is.. it's called refrigerant... freon was the company that used to make it, now it's made by dupont, just a history lesson Quote Team sundownWESTCOASTSPL.COM we're throwing dbdrag events very soon visit the website for details
