Yes, I had a tap break off in the copper blocks while I was threading them. No reason, it's the 2nd "Irwin" brand tap I've had break. I tried to remove the small shard with pliers and it shattered again shooting a piece into my eye. Pissed off and lazy I dropped the bar off at a machine shop who removed the tap for me. Then before I could continue work my wife called to tell me she got stuck in some mud, so I had to drive about 45 minutes away to pull her out. Anyway just another 30 holes left to thread. The problem with these taps is they're so hard they shatter very easy, and are almost impossible to drill out.

I did a bit of wiring but nothing worth taking pictures of. Tomorrow I'll hopefully get the copper threaded all the way then finish making them into "pretty" fuse holders. I want to do a bit more bracing and install the terminals as well. I'll probably only get part of this done because I'm going to dinner with the in-laws a bit early.

My wife informed me she wants a different stroller than she wanted originally- so a new box will be in order with a different size port lol. This time I'm waiting till we have it to take measurements myself. That's all the updates today

The offending broken tap:

The threaded holes, mocked up with some fuses. I made a plexi cover that bolts the blocks in place, allowing me to screw it down and preventing it from bumping the negative terminal on the battery. BTW - the white corners are clear silicone. It's white till it dries, but it'll clean the corners up a bit. It's my first plexi bending job since grade school lol, cut me some slack.

Screwed in place. There will be a top plate made once I get things wired up and see what I have left.

I drilled holes for the terminals:

Some silicone to seal the washers

Wired inside the box, though I realized I'll have to change it temporarily for 4 ohms till the alts come in and I can go down to 1

"fuse holder" and terminals in place and ready for wiring up to the amp.

Hopefully I'll get the bracing and final painting done inside the box and I can hook this up tomorrow

Even at less than 1/2 power it'll be better than the nothing I have right now!

I got things wired up today!

A few people got a demo, it's at 4 ohms until the alts come in, but I'm pretty pleased

I think that i am going to go ahead and say it, these are freaking loud. They seem to be louder than the last time i heard the 4 btls going, and its only at 4 ohms. Ridiculously loud, very nice work troy, very nice.
