The cone / dust cap / coil were not made with any high frequency extension in mind, although, they will still likely play up to 200-500 Hz no problem. I am not talking down on the 1508 here just showing a comparison. The DD 1508 is still one of the higher power handling 8s on the market and is quite loud -- it is just not a high excursion driver.
