WHERE is the damn wiring harness?

Recommended Posts

Actually best buy wanted $100 and they wont ground the brake wire for me. I would do it myself except I dont have the money to get wires so I can extend the harness.

And I never knew that it could cause any problems, thats why I had to ask.

Too lazy to read if anyone posted this yet... but look in your trunk in the passenger side... should be an amp with a standard 1858 harness plugged into it... you need to run everything back there and need a ec144 antenna extension.

pull the passenger sill plate, and the bottom of the back seat. Run the wire out the bottom of the dash, under the glove box, down the kick panel, then to the back, under the rear seat, into the trunk, to the factory amp just on top of the passenger wheel well. It seriously takes all of 20 minutes to do. If you car run RCA's, you can do this no problem

You have to run wires from the tuner in the trunk. The tuner can be in 3 different places depending on the model of the car 1. back of seat 2. right side of trunk 3. under rear deck . Metra makes a relocation harness 70-1856 that comes with everything you need.

the only RCAs are on the new HU for the amp and acc. Thanks for the info, Ill start working on this when I can stand being outside that long (no garage).

Unfortunately Metra's product page wont load and when I emailed them about it they sent me a different link that doesnt work either.

Which would be easier, their 17ft harness or their relocation harness?
