skittlesRgood
ive seen my computer do this too... but not that much. ill lose 2 gigs then one day ill get them back. no idea whats going on. edit - oh, i did notice once that it looked like a hacker was using my computer for storage. found a file with a ton of movies and porn. just deleted it and it was all ok. If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood. Skullz
Temp internet files i think take up drive space till removed. Also your Recycle bin takes everything you throw into it till deleted. Another thing that you might have done is right click copy things and forgot about em. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2

SocoJoe
If your running Vista, check out this link http://liveslick.com/2007/09/03/is-vista-e...rd-drive-space/ I did this on my laptop when I was running Vista and never had an issue after that. If you set it to 2gb it will just re-write over the existing every time, so you will never have to up the size of it. You also won't notice the hard drive being gone because once it gets to 2gb it will stop taking your hard drive space. ArmoredPersonel48698
Do a disk cleanup. Quickest and easiest way to fix that. Restore Points take up a shit ton of space if you don't clear them out from time to time. Another thing that happens, if it's a laptop, is that standby mode does that as well. Clear out the restore points and standby backups, and you'll gain a lot of space. I do it atleast once a month, and I'll regain 10 gigs atleast. 1998 Honda CR-V Installed: 1 x Kenwood KAC-9104D amp 2 x Kenwood KFC-W3012 12" subs 4 x Kenwood KFC-1682ie 3-way components 1 x Kenwood Excelon KDC-X493 head unit My Honda Build
EricR
I was having tons of problems with my old compaq that my ex wife bought in 03 so I just went and bought a brand new HP from best buy last year. Haven't had any problems since then. Another good thing that helps is streaming instead of downloading. i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?
