Reallunacy
So, I'm planning to put in a new system in my 2002 Intrepid. I was told I could use my stock alt and battery if I added a second battery for my system which will include an ID Q 450.4 and an ID Q 1200.1 amp. I just bought one of the HR500 batteries in the for sale section and wanted to double check how to wire it up. The red lines are positive, blacks are negative and yellow dots are fuses. I plan on using all 1/0 for this and 250 amp fuses for it. Please let me know if there is anything is wrong or you would change it. I appreciate any help you guys can give. Edit: I updated the photo to match the recommendations. Edited February 22, 2010 by Reallunacy

arnold1992
adding a second fuse before the second battery would help with safety too but other than then it looks fine to me... 1phatclipse
I personally have never ran a ground from my front batt to my rear batt I just always used a short ground straight to the frame and Ive never had a problem ....I could've been wrong all these years and if any of you guys call me on it please explain why the ground from the front batt to the rear is necessary
