Second Skin Audio

here is my deal. i am/have been building my car slowly for 5 years now. as money allows. the end result is a turbo'd 4 cylinder with 3" exhaust and stiff suspension. equaling a fair amount of vibration and road noise. my previous build was the same car (daily driven) and the stock deadener kept the noise talerable but i want this to be nicer. since i will have less interior (show & go car) to absorb noise and vibration. because the car will not be a daily driven where my last my last one.

sooo..... when i had my rollcage put in the stock deadener was peeled up in some area's to allow for the proper plating to be welded in. along with being 10 years old and crusty i pulled it all out. so i am simply looking for something to replace the removed stock crap. granted second skin is going to be superior to the tarish crustation from ford. im thinking the damplifier will do the job from what i have read but i just want some second opinions. so im looking to cover the floor (which was stock), some of the roof (all new), and areas of side panels/doors (mixed between stock and new).

thanks in advance

Do it, buy a shop-pack take the savings, if u have a rest, hold it for later, or sell it, or little nice gift for a friend.

Best answer would be stating your budget. If you have the money the spend the extra on pro, if you don't then get regular. All depends on how big your wallet is. I would assume yes, if the stock did a decent job then regular will be like 100x better. Remember, quality comes at a price.. not dynamats price though  lol.

used damplifer for the first time yesterday. and to be honest i was presently surprised. Its a lil easier to work with but obviously lighter as well. im going to go with wasehog on this one and say depends on ur wallet. bumping up to pro will help and will be nice but even regular damplifier should be plenty. Id look at the 80sqft shop pack regardless of what u get and just double up on the problem areas. FYI a shop pack of damp pro is 50lb and a shop pack of damp is 32lb both 80sq ft

theres no such thing as too expensive when it comes to upgrades like that, because imo if you are gonna spend to upgrade then do it correctly rather then be a cheap ass ricer

yeah i used damplifier pro on my trunk, 5 layers under rear deck and on top of rear deck, and a couple layers on the floor and a couple layers on the trunk lid, and it made all the difference in the world

sounds like damplifier will do me right. money is always an object but to do it right the first time is also an issue. the last few posts really locked me in. the first few had me pretty set on what i had already read. so thank you to everyone.
