what is a better head unit brand?

Recommended Posts

I had a pioneer and never had engine noise problems with it, or if I did, I never noticed. I have a kenwood now and I love it. Only downside for the kenwood is the cd player skips pretty easily and the screen can get some nasty glare, but besides that, it's awesome. For the record, I don't use the cd player part of it, I just use a flashdrive with music on it.

I d also prefer the Pioneer. It looks better and has all the bells and whistles. I think the eclipse s advantage over the Pioneer is a 5v pre out as opposed to 4v pioneer.

This is not much of a drawback though as you just have to turn the gains up a little more on your amps. Hope my post helps

My Pioneer has 5v preouts, but yes alot of Pioneer decks are 4v

ive had pioneer, pioneer premier, kenwood, alpine, sony, and jvc and clarion and my top 3 is pioneer premire, alpine and oldschool clarion

i love my oldschool pioneer premier 860 with the 6.5v preouts, just dont like the 0-40volume but my premier 680 goes from 0-62 but i dont need all that really

and sence were on topic, was it the pioneer that i got n the ones like it were u can turn off the internal amp so i dont play threw speaker wires?

and for some reason, pioneer made there rear channels able to run 50rms @4ohm in sub mode, in there manual said u could hook ur front speakers to the front channel and small low watt subs to rear channel, i dont kno of ppl that has done this but i dunno

only thing i dont like about my 860 is the hella features and no one that knows what all of em do lol

anyone kno were i can get a pioneer microphone for my 860?
