Guest grim83 Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 You know your a bass head when... you see a friend driving by and instead of honking you just crank the bass your idea of a first date is taking a girl to a competition your girl gets mad if you take your system out you laugh if something in the car breaks from the bass (brake light housing, rearview, a few other odds and ends) your idea of locker room talk has less to do with who you wanna bang and more with what would be louder your system cost twice what your car costs you buy a car with half your budget so the other half can go to the system when your hanging out with your friends and everyone fights about who gets to ride with you when your riding on the interstate and a cop pulls up next to u to give you a thumbs up because your so loud (happened this morning lol) when you take a road trip just to listen to the bass (i regularly drive half of the state just to listen to bass) you miss your exit because the you were into the song you have more songs for bass on your ipod than anything else

FaTbOy911 Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 When u have more power wire going through ur house than ur car Had an estimate of 6400 for an alpine/clarion setup dealer said it "should" hit around 160db with the custom boxes he was going to make for me..doubtful with so much area to move but, budget is way below that any ideas on cheaper brands for that kind of Spl setup? really didnt want to try any Boss or soundstorm, thinking Quantum figure around $150 per speaker "$1800 total" and $1700 to power it, first actual big setup for the van.
