Blackedout Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 For SQ subs, you may be Maxed out. Subs looked like they were pushed pretty hard at the show. Sounded incredible. Unless you tune higher (I wouldn't as it sounds incredible) or you go with even stronger subs ( Mayham or SMDs) you might be as loud as possible. I think I can squeeze another full db! Call me optimistic but I feel that way! Havnt tried all the tricks in the playbook. Until then I cant give up on it! You can get more out of it. Flare the port top and bottom, Smooth the inside of the box so it has less air resistance. Take the battery out of the box I am going to say, yes to all above except taking battery out of box. Tried that lost spl! .7 to be exact. More than likley from voltage drop. The battery in the box is 1 foot away from amps. When I had the battery out the box. The battery was 7 feet away. Benji0687 Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 Maybe you could build a little battery box to house the battery inside the box and make it nice n smooth so it doesn't affect air flow. Try that, smooth out the inside of the box, and flare the ports like someone already mentioned. I know its sexy and I know you have tons of hours invested. But you really need to cut the floor out just around the spare tire well and build a proper battery rack to house at least 4 batteries. I know your biggest limiter is your electrical, and I think you could easily be closer to 154-155s seeing as how Thor was putting up your same numbers with 10s daily. Space is a big problem with trunks and the only way you can expand them is down. With everything in there, ease of access will probably suck. But you'd be surprised how much you can gain. Go out and stare at your car and just think about it. Its not as difficult as you'd think, seeing as how you've managed to do so much already. It's all gone! The thought of cutting the trunk floor has crossed my mind many times before. I have a rule on stuff like that! if the car has less than 100k miles on it I cant do it! Once the car hits 100k its no holds barred! I will cut that bitch to pieces if I am still interested in making it louder at that point. I would however make that space into extra airspace and put the batteries running across the back. That way everything can still be accessed. Have thought about removing the entire back dash and make the port fire forward. Only time will tell! I have another project I am going to start! I am going after the great Gary Killian!
