Exo's new 150 db video

Recommended Posts

nice video.

the funny part is, EVERYONE says their mic is "only a db or 2 off the TL" no matter what brand it is.

looks nice and thats a sweet port - but no way its a 152. I give it a 147 at the most. (on a real TL)

time to put on the EXO-flame suite now LOL.

Let me start by saying this is in no an attack or flame bro, I am a fan of yours: have been and will continue to be... I just feel I must defend myself a bit and give you some background info on this video and me:

Not only is it over a 151 legal sealed at the dash on a termlab, its that on the 177.8 calibrated sensor (thats what termlab's is I use all the time as well as the calibration on New England SPL's sensor, its the stiffest of all TL sensors) needless to say I am very familiar with the termlab. I should know it does this, I own the box, sub and amp. The same sub and box did a over 151 legal with a stock electrical on the real termlab at ACT Audio in Vernon CT recently when my friend/box builder took it down there on a delivery to show it off in his Hyndai Tuscon, and yes they were suprised too lol but feel free to ask them about it. I have had this DMM meter sensor all season long and all season it has been consistantly 1-2 db max higher then my termlab run each time. Not that it matters as I only care what the Termlab says and what I do in competition as a certified score, cuz proof is in the pudding. You will see this sub do a 154-5 this season legal on termlab. Not in EXO's van in my "new" old truck a '93 GMC Jimmy, look for my scores as proof this year in NESPL and TNESPL results, I can pm you my name to verify if you like or just ask EXO.

I realize you didn't know all the circumstances surrounding this number. I am not just some guy off the street, I know my bass and my last 3 systems I dropped in for people were instant 150's, plus my box builder has held multiple DB Drag world records and won many titles over the years. A normal guy off the street would never be able to hit these numbers with out the experience put into the drop in. Hope this helps alleviate any doubts you may have, if not I got no problem making a point to certify the score on a termlab for ya bro.

HAHA Meade is scared ;)

Don't you worry - Come next week - I'll do it all again & show you guys 150+ on Official TermLab

Pics when it happens... no doubt it's loud but I just don't see that being a 152,153. Just didn't look violent enough in there.

I'm kinda suspicious of this too, but EXO wouldn't lie.

Box design is everything... - Latest numbers hit over 1,250mv on the DSP meter w/ the DMM - These are legit numbers - The sensor converts SPL into a live action AC millivoltage - You can then plug it straight into a DMM to calculate & conincide that score with the db spreadsheet that gives you a real life SPL reading - Granted the score is consistently 1 to 2db off the TL - It's still very accurate & worth every penny.

BTW - The designer responsible for this box has won multiple titles & broken over 3 db Drag World Records... Needless to say, 150+'s all day long.

i didnt say YOU couldnt do a 150 in one of your rides, i didnt even look...... im saying that setup in that van with that amp in that video does not look like a 152. Take that exact same setup to a DBdrag contest and prove me wrong. Even better, bust out a hair trick video with it. :) If its that loud it should easily be able to do one. That might make it more believable since visuals help a lot.

Im not trying to dog you i just see numbers get tossed around like nothing and i hate to see him get his hopes up only to be dissapointed.

no one is saying Exo lied. There is no rule against metering and getting excited over a Non-TL 150.

Somebody needs to put a funky pup in a box with the octoport and challenge the Matterhorn to a dbDrag race.

wtf is lolcats?

I'd def get a fat hooker if i had to resort to that kinda thing. I feel like they'd be grateful and work harder. Also its more bang for my buck, more real estate for my dollar if you catch my drift. its like the Costco of streetwalkers.

I was hoping for 150 :(.

I was hoping she would let me put it in her butt

again with the damn funky pupz  lol

Fine. We can just make a mini octoport and use some funky pup tweeters. Will that make you happier? ^_^
