I'm sticking with Dat amps for the time being. The prototype models are solid. It's a shame the production models gave the company a bad rep, but the amps fit my budget, they sound great, and they put out some solid power. I'm not hesitant to pull the amps apart and search for problems though. If I had similar problems to you, I would pull the amp apart and look for cold solder joints or faulty connections. As long as the amp isn't in protect, it's not beyond me to take a look and try to find anything that doesnt look right. Cool mario. I wouldn't mind helping out again. bass_stalker Posted November 10, 2011 Report Share Posted November 10, 2011 well i looked at the amp, and i didnt see any burns, the only thing that i noticed was wrong was that one of the heat-sinks on the fets had broken off, other than that i think its a loose connection somewhere, i have a local amp repairman looking at it right now, and I'm waiting to hear from him the 2500 are pretty nice too though, i don't think I've heard anything bad about the proto's.
