The Saturn: Death-Horn Build/Addition

Recommended Posts

Its still a ported box but with a huge flare on the port leading/funneling upto the b-pillar...and it'll add a good chunk onto the effective port length so the tuning will drop a bit to around 28hz im predicting after the 10's go in (theyll take up more airspace than the 18s, before the 10s the tuning should be closer to 27hz lol)

And im in extreme because i have modifications infront of the b-pillar...people with fiberglassed door panels are technically in extreme...

so do you just add the length of the flare to the port length?

car audio is just a LOT more complicated than "this amp does this power" or "this sub will be this loud". its like 2 + 2 = banana. (if that confuses you then you get the point) lol

Thanks, man.

And I forgot to mention...I hit the kerfed portion of the back of the horn pretty much as hard as I could and it didnt flinch in the slightest :) I plan on a little bit of glass on the inside of it plus the bedliner and it'll be one strong puppy :D
