Ram1989custom
Liking the truck its cool to have something that you dont see all the time. Thats what I was thinking after I bought it, nobody has gone anything quite like this to any old Dodge, the most anybody has done is make it a diesel or made it a mudding truck. I plan to change that. Also, I haven't seen very many single cab bass builds that end up sounding good. I actually plan on cutting out the back of the bed and the cab wall to put the subs back there, but thats not going to happen anytime soon. 1989 Dodge D150, 318 LA; Holley Fuel InjectionBuild Log:http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/72838-dc-dodge-d150-blowthrough-thread-updated-pics-fixed-2-level-4-15s-wlvl-5-coils/Truck Add-ons: 20" rims2/4 drop15% tintBucket seatsK&N air filterSmog Pump deleteStereoWORK IN PROGRESS2 DC Level 4 15s with Level 5 Coils1 Audiopipe AP15001D (Soon to be a Crescendo BC3500)JBL 650W amp (unsure of model)4 6x9 Rockford Prime 3 ways2 Soundstream TWS.4 Dome tweetersKnuKonceptz 1/0 Power Wire *3 Kinetik 2400s and a Mechman 270A alt in the future*
Ram1989custom
Alright, so here is a little update of my plans. So I am looking for a way to get some extra money, and after I get my subs in, the first thing I am going to do is make some carbon fiber inserts on my interior. I am looking to put it on my armrest on my door panels, and I need to fiberglass the sub box and console together. Then I will make it carbon fiber too. Anything else I need to C-fiber? I don't want too much, but I want to make it different from any other Dodge Ram. I need to do something to the dash, it looks a bit plain. I figure you guys would know just what to do. Here is the dash, it looks a bit plain, huh? Any ideas? Dirt spots I didn't miss any spots when I painted it, its just dust or dirt. You can see where I spray painted the door and where the emblems used to be, for a quick temporary fix until I get it painted. Also, I have 2" of room in between the tire and top of wheel well in the front, and 5" of room in the back. So I am going to add some weight packs until it lowers the back to about 2.5", maybe 3". We will do that pretty soon too. 1989 Dodge D150, 318 LA; Holley Fuel InjectionBuild Log:http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/72838-dc-dodge-d150-blowthrough-thread-updated-pics-fixed-2-level-4-15s-wlvl-5-coils/Truck Add-ons: 20" rims2/4 drop15% tintBucket seatsK&N air filterSmog Pump deleteStereoWORK IN PROGRESS2 DC Level 4 15s with Level 5 Coils1 Audiopipe AP15001D (Soon to be a Crescendo BC3500)JBL 650W amp (unsure of model)4 6x9 Rockford Prime 3 ways2 Soundstream TWS.4 Dome tweetersKnuKonceptz 1/0 Power Wire *3 Kinetik 2400s and a Mechman 270A alt in the future*

Ram1989custom
Alright, so I got sick and tired of not having any bass in my truck, so I borrowed some $30 subs from my dad, haha. I have 2 Boss amps, a 1000 watt and a 400 watt, as well as a 120 watt off brand amp. The 1000 Watt probably doesn't work, we might have burnt it last year. If it doesn't work, then I will use the 400 Watt for the subs and the 120 watt for the 2 door speakers. It is a very cheap build, yes, but it will get me some bass until I can get better. Here is the plan now. I will hook all the stuff up this week, and order a single box for my old RF 12" Punch until I can afford some DD or RF Powers. I will get the box probably this weekend or next week sometime. That is all I need to get it pounding hard, these Boss amps will work fine until I can get better. I have decided that if I put 2 12" subs in, that I will have to build a nice custom console for it too, and put the subs behind the seat. It will be fine, I guess. But here is what it all looks like for my temporary bass build, yes the angle box is in the console, it SUCKS! I also have 2 vids of my shitty stereo now, compare that to what I will have soon. I may be able to get a video of these $30 subs in action by as soon as tomorrow night, but maybe not. 1000 Watt amp 400 Watt amp 120 Watt amp RF decal. Now my vids of my stock stereo sound. It will change drastically. It is very clean sounding, but that bass is not loud enough, by a long shot. But yeah, hope you like, I will get the good stuff soon, it disappoints me to introduce these crappy subs into my family, even if it is only for a week. 1989 Dodge D150, 318 LA; Holley Fuel InjectionBuild Log:http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/72838-dc-dodge-d150-blowthrough-thread-updated-pics-fixed-2-level-4-15s-wlvl-5-coils/Truck Add-ons: 20" rims2/4 drop15% tintBucket seatsK&N air filterSmog Pump deleteStereoWORK IN PROGRESS2 DC Level 4 15s with Level 5 Coils1 Audiopipe AP15001D (Soon to be a Crescendo BC3500)JBL 650W amp (unsure of model)4 6x9 Rockford Prime 3 ways2 Soundstream TWS.4 Dome tweetersKnuKonceptz 1/0 Power Wire *3 Kinetik 2400s and a Mechman 270A alt in the future*

dwright27
insteads of adding weight packs which will kill your gas mileage even more, just spend the money for a drop kit. as for exhaust, a local auto mechanic shop can do it. i have straight pipes on my 06 f-150 with one set of cats leading to 4" stainless tips. i would go with a flowmaster super 40 if you want a deep tone. if you want it loud as balls, go straight pipes. 2006 F-150 4 DC XL M2 18's Walled Daily Driver XS Power 4 DC 3.5kw Team DC Team S.P.L. Ram1989custom
Yeah, I think I will lower the rear about 2 inches, that will put it 3 inches away from the tire, and the front still at 2 inches. But on the exhaust, I am not looking for loud as balls. I just want it to be louder than most cars, and for it to sound good, which is why I am going for the Moderate Flowmaster package as well as a dual exhaust. It will be loud, but it will sound beautiful. How much do you think it will cost for a dual exhaust at a local store in Oklahoma? Also should I go side exhausts or just run it straight to the back? Edit: also, I spray painted my truck some more last night, it looks a lot better, and you can't see where I painted it now, unless it is absolutely filthy. I painted the roof, it was peeling because of primer. Thats what happens when you put a Cali truck that was in Cali for 19 years into Oklahoma for 2. 1989 Dodge D150, 318 LA; Holley Fuel InjectionBuild Log:http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/72838-dc-dodge-d150-blowthrough-thread-updated-pics-fixed-2-level-4-15s-wlvl-5-coils/Truck Add-ons: 20" rims2/4 drop15% tintBucket seatsK&N air filterSmog Pump deleteStereoWORK IN PROGRESS2 DC Level 4 15s with Level 5 Coils1 Audiopipe AP15001D (Soon to be a Crescendo BC3500)JBL 650W amp (unsure of model)4 6x9 Rockford Prime 3 ways2 Soundstream TWS.4 Dome tweetersKnuKonceptz 1/0 Power Wire *3 Kinetik 2400s and a Mechman 270A alt in the future*
Ram1989custom
New update here. I got my 12" RF HE2 12" Subwoofer in hand now. We are about to get a box, sticking to a certified ported box for now. I only have 1 12" sub bc the other blew out a while ago, these were my brothers. There is a blemish on it, but it still works, I think. He said that one works and the other doesn't. We are assuming that the blemished one works. Hopefully the clean one is the one that works. We will test them next weekend in my dads car until I get mine wired up. So here are some pics of the sub. Lol Upside down. Alright so how you like the sub? It will be fine till I can get a big system in it. LMFAO I should put a vroom box in my truck! 1989 Dodge D150, 318 LA; Holley Fuel InjectionBuild Log:http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/72838-dc-dodge-d150-blowthrough-thread-updated-pics-fixed-2-level-4-15s-wlvl-5-coils/Truck Add-ons: 20" rims2/4 drop15% tintBucket seatsK&N air filterSmog Pump deleteStereoWORK IN PROGRESS2 DC Level 4 15s with Level 5 Coils1 Audiopipe AP15001D (Soon to be a Crescendo BC3500)JBL 650W amp (unsure of model)4 6x9 Rockford Prime 3 ways2 Soundstream TWS.4 Dome tweetersKnuKonceptz 1/0 Power Wire *3 Kinetik 2400s and a Mechman 270A alt in the future*
