ok this is on my 94 fourth-gen camaro. I was driving home from school yesterday. took off on a hill and kinda chirped the tires then all of the sudden the trans high revved almost like neutral then it caught gear again and made a pop noise then all of a sudden i have absolutely no gears it will roll backwards in reverse and drive and just free revs in absolutely any gear anyone know what could be wrong???? this is the v6 3.4 automatic it worked perfect never had a slippage problem or anything then all of a sudden it just broke

put the car either on a jack or on something level and have the car in neutral and spin the drive shaft if the car moves then its tranny related.. if you have to go to the trans.. easiest thing is to unhook the battery and let it reset and then try again. if not cheak the speed sensor which would be near the back of the trans. pull it out clean it and try again.. if not check the governor which is under like a round press on cover.. pull that off and see if anything is broken if all looks good throw it back on and try again. if it still doesn't work. way to go you fucked up your buddy's car!!!

Sounds like you snapped the input shaft on the trans, here is a site that has all JY in the computer system to check and see who near you has a trans for a good price. Whether you do the job yourself or have someone do it you'll wanna buy your own vs. a trans shop buying and charging an arm and a leg for it.

Just go to the bottom of the page and click the page with the little asterisk next to it meaning its the lowest price you'll find for that part and work your way back to page one looking for the closest JY near you with one. Make sure you get atleast a 30 day warranty with it.
