thorshammer
The Ca Glue is for the spider landing. The rubber is for the surround and is whats recommended to use. the empty bottle is the accelorator for the ca glue. You can however buy accelorator at your local hobby craft store for around 5 dollars. You can use ca glue for everything but it becomes brittle on the surround. J00bles
i always used the ca glue for the surround and the spider with no problems yet. i used the rubber glue to glue the dustcap down. you can not use ca for that! the accelerator evaporates easily, so that bottle sometimes will show up empty.. chewie
x2 on just the ca glue. i used that on my stroker on the surround and it held up fine.. i just wasnt 1000 percent sure and i wanted to ask.. i laid out a strip on a peice of paper and let it dry to see how flexible the ca glue was. and well its preety darn flexible. that rubber is really thick and looks dried up almost.. anyway to thin it back out? aka should i be able to squeeze it out of the bottle? another thing on the accelerator. i never use it. it makes the ca glue brittle and decreases its holding ability. i used to race model cars. and used ca glue all the time for the tires. i noticed if i used accelerator the tires blew off the rims alot sooner. than if i let it cure on its own. i only used it in emergencys when i had a round coming up and needed a different set of tires for that round. and needed the glue dry asap. it may not sound like the bond for a rc car tire is very important but when you have a 5 inch round peice of rubber spinning at high rpm and capable of balloning out to close to 15 inches its important. chewie
also.. before i tore it down for the recone. it was very beaten on and really loose. so i threw approx 3000 rms at it and it took it like a champ.. over 45 mins of playing beating the ever loving crap out of it.. bottoming out jumping gap you name it it was doin it.. well when i pulled it out of the box. the spider was 90 percent ripped off , and the coil still looked great.. i am VERY impressed with dc and will probably remain a loyal customer. !!!
