ok so i just picked up a fully loaded 18" btl. im taking out my rear seat and im building up a false floor, then the box. im gonna be powering it off of my a3000db. whats a good box size to go with? port area? i wanna tune it around 30-32. also, how should i face it? i wanted to go with sub forward, port up. how well would that sound? i was told sub/port up. but i dont really want people seeing it that much..... please help. thanks!!

which specs? lol. 6, 7, 8, or in between?

In my experience w/ an ext cab F-150, pointing the sub forward metered the worst. Sub & port up did well but pointing back did the best. Side porting did the same as sub & port up.

sub and port pointing back? i was thinking sub back port up too.

i dont know how much room ill have for a port back. i should have enough since im taking my seat out. what i wanted to know was how sub back, port up sounded. you didnt try that did you?

port back in a pickup truck? may i ask why?

x2?????i did sub down and port up in my ram single cab with a 15" eclipse titanium cone and it pounded...it was kinda between the front seats and built to go behind the seats also (for airspace, kinda like a wrap around center consel) the port area was right against the back wall though firing up......
