I just spray them with brake cleaner, wiped down, then spray away. never had any problems with the paint sticking Quote 99 suburban, ranger rover headlights, SS front bumper,roll pan with frenched tag, 2nd row delete,glassed dash..audio to come whenever I figure out what I want. HK-DEMON- Posted April 17, 2010 Report Share Posted April 17, 2010 I used a metal brush which i adapted to my cordless drill to clean the rust off of the calipers first, then i soaked the calipers under metal etch to make sure i got all the rust, sprayed primer let it set and added paint from kragen auto parts. Get a whole lot of brake parts cleaner and some wire bristle brushes.
