GymJunkie
Would doubling up on this stuff and connecting it to the inside of my trunks side panels reduce the rattling at all? What could I attach it with? I bought gorilla glue, would that be a bad idea? The stuff I bought is just called Easy Liner, a thin rubber piece made my Duck (pics below). This would be temporary until I get another job and can afford dynamat so dont think Im trying to ghetto rig it permanently, just want to get rid of the annoying rattle as much as I can. I folded it several times to reduce/remove rattle from license plate 1993 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham. Rogers
first of all... if you plan on using gorilla glue, dont plan on being able to remove it... ever! that stuff is crazy tough! also... your not going to stop the rattling unless you can get that stuff between the 2 objects/panels that are resonating against each other... my method is a cross between sound deadener and great stuff expand foam... expand foam between pannels... and then sound deadener over the top... if its just a license plate that you are worried about then that stuff with gorilla glue would be fine... but for serious trunk rattle, you would be better off saving some money and then getting a hold of SecondSkin and placing an order... http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/79921-rogers-700-dream-car-update-page-17-a-wall/?p=2335774 93 Saturn SC2My system4 SA-15's Walled 2 Cerwin-Vega S2000's 3 Kinetik Hc2000's Dual 200amp alts. you guys done with the peepee touching contest or do I need to end it? Anyway to get in between them without taking off the side panel? I was thinking/hoping I could remove the tail lights and shoot the foam in that way and use something to push it farther in. Ill take a quick video to show how bad the trunk rattle is, its quite embarrassing you shouldve bought peel and seal at lowes' for 16bucks at 25' the roll, that is the cheapest and at your disposition. No lowes here :-( Im possibly going back to Menards tonight to buy some great stuff so Ill see what they have. GymJunkie
I looked again and noticed that there isnt 2 pieces of metal hitting each other, its just the side panel metal and the trunk carpet so great stuff wont be of any use (I wouldnt think anyway) and I just drove to every place in town and no one has any kind of sound deadener/dampener anyway so off the internet I must order. 1993 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham.
