kingsuv
just drill them out , get a tap then screw the tap into the whole and it will cut new treads, but yoll have to get new screws for the new size ^^^^^^ This. Don't helicoil it. Chances are with the soft metal it will spin loose after awhile. tap new threads in and hit up a local OSH for new alan head screws Edited April 19, 2010 by kingsuv Quote Designing, building, and shipping boxes. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.

Boon
Jesus tacoma your ideas are rangi as hell. The terminals on most amps are just made from pewtery shit, it's really soft (which is why it strips) You have a few options... 1. Dodgy way of doing it - get some de-soldering braid, wind it around the grub screw then screw it in. Temporary fix. 2. Better way - get the next size up grub screw, make sure it's a coarse thread since a fine thread will just disintegrate. Use it to tap a new hole - half turn in, quarter turn out - the metal is so soft it won't be a problem. 3. Much better way - use a tap, again make sure it's coarse, and go up a size in grub screw 4. Ultimate way - desolder the amp terminals, add new ones Quote 10.x volts fo' life!
