chapo123
is it true that 15's are deep bass and dont sound as good as 12s? 12s give me that hit in the chest feeling.. ive never ever heard 15s in my life.. (fail i know) but is it true they just give deep bass and arent as loud for real? this may be a stupid question but just wondering if i should get 2 15's. idc about sq i want spl but my friend said 15's and 18s are only deep bass and not as loud to the ear as 12s. just move more air... sorry if this a dumb question but im asking anyway lol (hope i dont get flamed on) my 12 fi btl is pretty freaking loud and of course ill do ported just to give more info.. would 15s not hit (i mean ear loudness) as 12s? Eric B
Dumb question. My 15 when I had it, hit just as hard as a lil 10 and so do my 18s. Its all in the enclosure. HHR Ed
I wouldnt listen to your friend. Not rue what he says there. Any sub of any size can be tuned to play flat over a whole spectrum of frequencies. And any sub of any size can get loud. Its how you setup your system and tune the enclosure. Some people use 10s tuned to play a range of 10-40hz, and some people us 18s for punchy bass. Some people use 10s for SPL and do big numbers, some people do big numbers with 15s and 18s. Choose what fits best in your car and setup. Red-navi-916
If your friend never owned a 15 or 18" woofer(s) he's got no reason to speak his mind. I own 10s 12s 15s and 18s and I love my 18s but for the 240sx I would do 2 12" btls no point of selling the one you got. Just add on Quote BUILDLOG http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=61862 "98crewcab"Never a POS....just always "a work in progress" lol that's how we roll bitches!!!
