I tell people that I dont recommend 3K to the T2000s. But a properly tuned 3000w amp can be used. That may be a confusing statement. But a 3000w amp wont be putting out 3000w on music. So it can work. And as stated above, the box should also be taken into account. Enclosures have power ratings too.
