anyone else have any input

dont go with lanzar...please, lol

i gave a small list of AWESOME subs from good companies that all make 8" subs that are really cheap. if i had to choose, i like the diamond audio d3s and the jbls. really nice for size, power, and price. i just installed some infinity 8s into the rear door of an sti here and they sound incredible.

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

Jacob is currently testing the new Sundown e8 subwoofer, which will be cheaper than the sa8. No time frame on when it will come out, but a pre-sale probably wouldn't be TOO far off if you're not in a hurry to get them (assuming he will do a pre-sale like he normally does).

SA-8s seems to be popping up here and there in for sale ads. You can get them for like...what, 110-120 shipped? Something like that. Anyway...good luck searching.

the sa-8 is what i want. if i sell my sx 12's this week ill go ahead and get 4.

Lanzar can be decent IF, and thats a big if, you get the right stuff. 90% of their line is shit except the Optidrive series which Ive heard from a few friends do pound for the money.

1999 Pontiac Sunfire

Alpine CDA-9886

Sundown Audio SAZ-1000D

Sundown Audio SAX-50.4

Rainbow SAC 265.25 Components

Image Dynamics iD12

Optima Yellow Top

SQFire FTW.

Heritage line is good, old Max's were fun.. Opti's look ok.

Wouldnt bother witht the PRO's though. 4 Dual's from wally world/target would be more fun ;)

MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..."

Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through.

Hammerdown... 1%

ive installed these for people. 2 lanzap opti15s which didnt suck, but when you compare to other subs in the $400 range they blow. the optis arent as cheap as their max partners but seem to be more cosmetic than performance. but in my opinion, if youre already going to be paying $400 you might as well do it right.

funny thing was they did NOWHERE near rated power which was 3000watts rms and 6000watts peak.
