CD-RW won't rewrite

I've always used my ipod for music but I'm making a CD for a buddy of mine. I bought cd-rw's and forgot to add a few songs so when I try to add more, it says please insert blank disk. what am I doing wrong?

i believe once you burn to a cd and finalize you cant rerecord on there.

You would have to remove everything first then rewrite over it.

and I thought that's what the RW stood for, rewritable

I never used them personally but what wiki says is to blank it then you can rewrite over it but not sure what blanking is. USB flash drives ftw

You need to double click your cd drive and right click for xp or click erase this cd-rw at the top of the page in windows 7. It should erase then you can reburn your project. This works only if your drive says rw on the front of the drive door

very true. i know thats what it means, but honestly i have never had any luck in rewriting the cd. so ive gotten used to when its done its done, lol
