hdorre
I want to do a port like the one Steve has in the Tahoe so I have more net volume. Ill be using the Torres' ExpoSport calculator. Here are my questions: 1) Will I only have one common port wall? 2) Does it matter how high the port is on the box? 3) How much port area should I have per cubic foot? 4) Is the depth (length) of the port the same on all four sides? white4d96
I wouldn't think it had any common port walls if I'm thinking of this right. Quote Too many projects, too little time...

I saw that too; but Steves done some complicated installs in the past so I just thought I'd mention that question Quote On 5/8/2011 at 7:38 PM, Kranny said: On 5/8/2011 at 7:35 PM, 'Maxim' said: It hurts me inside when I read stuff like this and remember you're 15 LMFAO so true Mitsubishi 3000GT (Old Build) Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: (2) McLaren Audio MLT-2 Tweeters & (4) PRV Audio MR Series Neo 6.5" Mids Substage: 4 15" Hybrid Subs - Tantric Motors & Sundown Softies Amps: Banda 2.4D Amp (Tweets), American Bass VFL 350.4 (Mids), and (2) Ampere 3800s Electrical :Singer 260A Alt & JY Power Lithium 2005 Chevy Colorado Ext Cab Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: 4 PRV 700Ti Tweets & 6 10" Delta Mids on 3000wrms Substage: 6 Fi BTL 18s in a 4th Order Walkthrough on 3 Wolfram 4500s Electrical: Singer "390" and JY Power My Official Feedback Thread

R_Mac_1
No common port walls. The port is independent of all the other sides. It doesn't share a wall with any parts of the box. In fact, it's removable. Decaf
what he said^ there really wasnt a magic ratio... he tried to fit it under the window line... thats the sole reason his box and port are so small and that he throws almost 2kw beyond RMS i know it moves and its loud but i doubt 100sqin of port is ideal for 4 18s of any design, IMO
Torres
shift that port in the top right of the pic to the middle of the box and it's a better '2 common wall' slot port
