blowing fuses

i have a memphis c3 dual 2 ohm 15 sub with an us xterminator 1600.2 amp when i run it bridged the amp blows the fuses ? any idea what i can do ? no shorts in the wiring doesn't blow when not briged but doesn't give enough power ? any suggestions, could it be it drops my voltage to much ?

How are you wiring it?

if your dropping the load to 1 ohm then thats obviously wayyyyyyyy too low.

How is the sub wired? 1 or 4 ohms? if 1 ohms is the amp stable with a 1 ohm load?

this amplifier is 1600 watts @ 2ohm your wiring the ohm load too low for it causing it to overload or whatever the term is for it.

So I just looked up that amp and they report...

250 x 2 @ 4 ohms

500 x 2 @ 2 ohms

1000 x 1 @ 4 ohms

So you would want to run it bridged @ 4 ohms however the question is, if this is how you are trying to run it, do you have it wired properly?

Wire it to a 4ohm load. Almost every 2 channel amp i have ever seen only runs at 4ohms bridged.

thanks i thought it is wired at 2 ohms but i had it at 1 ohm
