what if your looking for 14+volts?

Then get 14V batteries. Alternators have very little to do with loaded voltage unless your current supply exceeds the demand. Just because you regulate at 14+ doesn't mean you'll see it on a load.

do the big 3, get a nice batt up front, 2 runs of 1/0 to the back and a second batt as big as you can get in the back. this is all stuff you would want to do with an upgraded alt so if you need to get the bigger alt or want to upgrade in the future this gives you a head start

what if your looking for 14+volts?

Then you're shit out of luck, unless you want to spend more on your electrical than your system's worth.

A 300A alt would keep you at 14+ with 2500wrms of output. Maybe.

Depends also on the stock alternator, the smaller it is then the car need less current to work all it´s functions, my stock alt was 70 amps, i only got a 140 amps alternator with 2 batteries and i didn´t drop below 13 volts at the amplifier :yahoo:

If your stock alt it´s something like 60 amps, then with 3000 watts and a couple of batteries, i would say 160 is more than enough!! On the other hand, if the stock it´s something like 140 amps, then yes, i would get around 180 or 200 amps with a couple of batteries and big3 :pardon:

watts/volts=amps. use this formula to calculate. typical car draws about 30 amps so be sure to add that in.

and congrats on the btl 18! :clapping:
