Neo_frog
what if your looking for 14+volts? Then get 14V batteries. Alternators have very little to do with loaded voltage unless your current supply exceeds the demand. Just because you regulate at 14+ doesn't mean you'll see it on a load. Need an install? CNF Kevosinn
do the big 3, get a nice batt up front, 2 runs of 1/0 to the back and a second batt as big as you can get in the back. this is all stuff you would want to do with an upgraded alt so if you need to get the bigger alt or want to upgrade in the future this gives you a head start *** SuperSeller Status Verified *** ( http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers/ ) "kevosinn's" astro van 8 custom Sundown Zv4 18's 4 Sundown scv 6000's CNF Distribution CNC parts Skyhigh wire some batteries SMD Meters and tools used on the installhttp://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/172877-kevosinns-vanwest-coast-skyhigh-car-audio-vehicle/ 16,000 watt walled silverado build.http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/161965-walled-silverado-4-hdc4-15s-4-crescendo-3500s-and-much-more/ 8,000 watt 1999 Subaru legacy outback. Boon
what if your looking for 14+volts? Then you're shit out of luck, unless you want to spend more on your electrical than your system's worth. A 300A alt would keep you at 14+ with 2500wrms of output. Maybe. 10.x volts fo' life!
fecupe2001
Depends also on the stock alternator, the smaller it is then the car need less current to work all it´s functions, my stock alt was 70 amps, i only got a 140 amps alternator with 2 batteries and i didn´t drop below 13 volts at the amplifier If your stock alt it´s something like 60 amps, then with 3000 watts and a couple of batteries, i would say 160 is more than enough!! On the other hand, if the stock it´s something like 140 amps, then yes, i would get around 180 or 200 amps with a couple of batteries and big3 I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains.
