BigHOUSTON Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 I recently bought a cap from bestbuy since they were being dropped by RF and there 1farad cap was $35. So i installed it lastweek and now when ever i turn it up to the highest volume i play it was the system starts to make a siren sound but the music still plays its like a single tone any ideas what it could be???

bassl0va Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Might as well sell the cap, it's no help, you probably don't even need to do the big 3 etc. DMM your voltage drop, I bet it doesn't go below 12v (with the engine running), if it does then a better battery will fix it.
