I know a lot of stupid people who go to or watch scary movies as groups, that automatically makes it a stupid movie every time. I think The Decent, Paranormal Activity, and the Grudge are the most scary movies I've seen and scary movies are damn near all I watch. But how you watch the movies makes the difference. Remember,two person limit (u and one female preferably, but two females are acceptable) make room completely dark, MUST HAVE SURROUND SOUND CRANKED, and blankets help as well if you have a female over. Trust me, if you haven't seen these three movies, get them and follow my rules and you'll get laid for sure, and freaked the fuck out too. The Decent- Makes you jump like 10ft PA and Grudge- Gives you mad spinal chills. I think everything about PA made it quite possibly the most perfect movie ever made (originality, budget/profit margin, advertising, content, technique) it was absolutely perfect and I wish I was the guy who made it. And anyone to disagree with that can stfu and gtfo! This movie is also a subwoofer must have, preferable T-line or custom built for low tuning cause this movie sings to the whales its so low. There's also a strait to DVD clown movie I'm thinking of that surprised me with how well it was done, I'll edit this if I think of it. It's all gone! The British ending is so much better, the movie isn't so much scary as is fucking awesome. I watched it in pitch darkness with the girlfriend in the basement with my 20hz tuned 11cubed 18" MJ-18M sub. I have to watch REC 2 though. I didn't even know 2 was out. I do remember the video in THE RING freaked the shit outta me of weeks. One was because my TV was set up to wake me up for school. slugdub Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Paranormal Activity needs to be seen with a good surround sound...I saw it in theaters so the bass definitely helped the movie, I was scared shitless that night, I couldn't sleep yet my girl passed out with ease lol... Exactly. This is what I've been saying. God bless whoever released that DVD quality screener with Dolby 5.1 Alot of the sound effects (without spoiling it) sounded like they were happening not only in the room on the screen, but precisely inside my living room. Without that effect, it would have been stupid. Truth be told. Blair Witch is honestly the scariest movie I ever saw. Most, if not all, people will laugh at that and not understand, but I saw it before it was released at some sneak peak and had ZERO clue what it was. I had to go back to my parent's house in the woods in Wisconsin after that. Shit, the woods still aint the same. I could never watch that movie again though, the effect is lost.

I can't really find something scary when I have to read " OH NO RUNN!!" in a subtitle instead of actually hearing it.... plus it had a worse plot than quarantine, really corny and unbelievable.
