I think it depends what you consider scary....but IMO, disturbing (like fucked up stuff) is scary. you could check out Mirrors. I didnt think it would phase me, but it didnt sit right.

But seriously, I watched Ju-on and almost didn't sleep for a whole week. A lot of people don't like Asian/Japanese type horror movies, but I think they are scary as hell.

I disagree. Paranormal Activity was lacking. As an Indie Film it was good and they taped it in 10 days, but there was only about 5 minutes of the movie worth watching and thats the very end... I watched Nightmare on Elm Street last week, Loved it!!! Real freaky with good suspense. kinda had a "The Ring" kinda feel. (the 'you will die in 7 days' movie)
