So.. My friend gave me 2 12"s...

Recommended Posts

It's all air nailed together .. Guess I should just bust it up and put them in my other sealed dual 12 box? i dunno..

And yea, I probably will sell them.. I usually just find people selling like subs on craigslist for $10.. then resell them in a nice box for 100.. These were just given to me though.. And, I am thinking about just selling them as is, without even listing brands.. but.. yeah

box is junk anyway. Who the heck builds a box without access to the woofers?

sealed sux

pull the carpet first then find a way to open it. if its all nailed use a pry bar to open it easy so you dont hurt the subs then take some pics

I'm not very experienced with all this stuff, but I've had the same subs in a sealed box, and ported box... From listening to them both, Sealed just packs that punch with force. Ported just blows those dbz at you with earrape

Sealed has allowed me to fit 2 15's, and 2 15's in my little 93 Accord trunk though.

I'LL BE RIPPIN THE BOX APART SHORTLY

STAY TUNED

sealed vs. ported depends on the woofers. Some subs are designed to work in sealed only, other subs are designed to work in ported only. Switch them, and they will sound like poo. Put them in their recommended box and they will shine.

Then there are subs that work in either sealed or ported, and then its up to the tastes of the listener.

Just to clear this conflict up before it becomes a fight.

Sealed has its advantaged and disadvantages, same with ported.

It all depends on what you want. How do you guys know what music this guy listens to or what he wants.

Neither design is trash, and neither is better when there is no preferences.

Lets not fight about this, seriously. :drinks: :drinks: :drinks: :drinks:

i resolve to be a nicer moderator.
