CheezyMane13 Posted May 23, 2010 Report Share Posted May 23, 2010 it doesn't have to be that dark to get pulled over, it just has to be dark ENOUGH, and thats what I am trying to avoid. My front windows are factory tinted, but very lightly. And my rears are tinted darker factory. So i was gonna try and tint my rear window and the two rear windows on each side in 5% and run a fat strip or 5% on the top of front window, and then do 35% on the driver and passenger windows if needed. My thought is that with the fat strip up front and all the rear windows tinted, the two front windows will appear darker, but will only be factory. If that doesn't work then you can always put down a strip on the driver and passenger sides. Last tiem I looked Michigan Law allowed that but I don't see too many getting pulled over for that, and know that it summer there most likely gonna be down anyways. bassahaulic Posted May 24, 2010 Report Share Posted May 24, 2010 (edited) Back when I had my truck i had a wall in it so i painted the back 3 just to save money lol So, Back 3 were 0%, front two were 5%, and front windshield was 35% with 5% strip. Tek Posted May 24, 2010 Author Report Share Posted May 24, 2010 well here you aren't allowed to have ANY tint on the front side windows unless you leave it untinted 4" from the top of the window. And you can have a 4" strip on your windshield as dark ask you want.
