NcHalfrican
I'm looking for a good 10" SQ woofer, that won't break the bank. I was looking at the Morel Ultimo, but I'm a bit sketchy about paying nearly 600 for it. Any suggestions?
kirill007
What's you're definition of SQ? What do you want the sub to do?(how does it needs to sound?) A Fi Q is a good "sq" sub. In what kind of enclosure are you going to put the subwoofer? Quote Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for. In what kind of enclosure are you going to put the subwoofer? Umm, I'd like a woofer that puts out clean and accurate bass...i plan on designing a folded horn enclosure for the woofer once i decide which i plan to use. I've check out the Q, heard mixed things as far as it being a purely SQ woofer...and i know this is shallow, but i dont like the way it looks haha these sound like garbage. try and eD sub for sq on a budget. I've heard alot of horror stories with eD and their spiders and customer support...do you have any experience with the company and products? kirill007
A folded horn enclosure for SQ?(most horns are peaky, so not that good for SQ, but if u had good experiences with horns, u can use it if u think it sounds good enough) Most use sealed or ported.(but i would really recomend a Tline, they sound better then every single kind of enclosure's i've made.) Build a Tline and tune it to the Fs or the subwoofer and then you can add stuffing to the tline to make sure you don't have any peaks.(Tlines sound very warm and tight.) EDIT:You don't like the way the Fi Q looks, but if you're going to build a horn you aren't going to see the sub anyways.(except if u use plexi) Didn't know that James. CaptainzPlanetz
I have hear great things about this sub, it has the same power handeling as the Morel http://www.woofersetc.com/p2030/IDMAX10D2--Image-Dynamics-10"-Competition-Subwoofer.htm Quote ¿ǝɯɐƃ ǝɥʇ Trolls never learn............ R_Mac_1
Aren't the IA Flaylynes considered pretty good SQ subs? Just to throw out another idea.
