jazz5000
hi guys, new member but been here a long time. I have a alpine type r 12'' its 500watts rms, i wanted to know how much power this sub can handle for a daily use, I was looking at 700w or 1500w jbl amplifiers. I know 1500w is alot for this sub, but i was going to turn the gain down, Also how do u know how much rms power a amp is giving, can you measure it with a multimeter? One last question. Are there any designs out there for a ported enclosure for this sub? Thanks Jazz

If they don't, then it's probably a shitty brand. I'm pretty sure to find watts, its your volts times amps = watts I'm pretty sure there's designs out there, just look around or search. Building a box for a 12 is not that difficult and im sure someone here would design you one if you asked. Quote 2006 Nissan Z Track.
