arnold1992 Posted June 9, 2010 Report Share Posted June 9, 2010 eh, that probably wasnt the cabin's peak. most trucks peak above 50hz IIRC. its because all the panels are smaller. the only way to test resonance is with a sealed 10" and a TL. well that or you just play with systems in your car so long you figure it out lol. yeah i'm sure the natural peak is not that low niether but all the movement from the back wall lead me to believe it acting as a passive radiator.. I don't care how low you're tuned, 4 18's should take a sh!t every day of the year on 2 12's. Getting 2 12's over 150dB is an epic mission, anyone that's NOT doing it with 4 18's deserves to get spanked by someone who put the effort in to beat them with, err, about 1/8th of the cone area. I'm trying to hit 150 with 2 12's below 40hz.... i'm at 144ish now 45hz ish.. I really don't care about the meter though.. just really impressive lows that feel good.... lol.. If i dampen, upgrade from old T1's to new style T2's and put a T1500bdcp or SunDown SA 1500 per sub tuned to 38hz will get me closer to the 150mark?
