thehoe92 Posted July 1, 2010 Author Report Share Posted July 1, 2010 yo you can send the amp to autosound in Louisville KY, they handle all of powerbass's out of warranty repairs waiting 6 months for what? thats exactly where PowerBass told me to send it since the warranty is not transferable I can't really see myself paying shipping to Kentucky and back on top of an $85 flat rate and parts when all it really could be is a messed up fet or protection unit I'm on CACO right now seeing if anyone will trade me as it is so they can deal with it Looking at a SoundStream 4k to trade since the guy wants a Sundown 3k I told him to deal with it and he will get the added power once its fixed ..so I don't know plus I'm all out of money right now so I can't send it in for a while so I'd much rather just trade it straight across and hope for the best Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
thehoe92 Posted July 1, 2010 Author Report Share Posted July 1, 2010 just went outside and grabbed the amp to do a little testing on my desk.. all solder joints look fine, transformers aren't discolored and the capacitors are still good take my DMM and start checking the mosfets.. start with the first 2 and they are around 200 ohms go to the next 2 still 200 ohms then the next 2 are around 10 ohms and theres a good portion of them right around 10 ohms and a couple that are at like .799 ohms so I've got a bunch of messed up fets question is.. where do I buy new mosfets to replace them?
