Jared420
Anyone have chrome raingaurds or a bug deflector? I just replaced my regular black ones with chrome ones and Im wondering if anyone knows what works best to clean and shine them up. I was going to use my lucas quick mist wax to shine them but I dont want to streak them up or anything so if anyone knows of anything better let me know. Wastehog
You can use window cleaner like windex on the chrome to clean the bugs off, then hit it with a good car wax. Let it haze, and polish it off. If they get a lil surface rust on the later on down the road, don't be afraid of the coke technique, it works good on surface rust. For cleaning, Windex, and then wax. Damn good shine. If not get some chrome polish.. Quote 1985 Chevy Silverado Black and Silver SBC 350/700r4

Wastehog
Any good wax will do. You don't have to worry about hurting the chrome, if the wax is made for automotive paint, then your safe to use it on chrome. I've used turtle wax for years and it does it's job of keeping the bumpers and such clean.
