Berto
Now my build gets held up even longer! This happened last night. I was just driving on the freeway and pop, there goes my tire. And no my tires weren't underinflated, I checked at least every other day. And do you guys remeber that thread Steve started about how the walls on his Kumho's started cracking, well I think that's what happened to mine but mine just skipped the cracking stage. If you remember the thread I started a while back about mine cracking, just know that it wasn't the same tire. My friends having a bit more fun about the whole situation than I was. And now that you've seen the pictures maybe you'll agree that Kumho's lo-pro tires have weak walls, or corners I guess you can say. Because if you notice in the picture the sides of the tire are still on the rim, it was just the part that the car rides on that came off completly. EricR
Wow that sucks man. That's why I only roll Nitto's Quote i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work? Berto
I think I'm gonna switch to Pirelli's now. I've been wanting the PZero Nero's but money hasn't really been to available. I'm only working part time so I'm probabily gonna spend a whole 2 week check on 2 tires. (I plan on getting rid of all 4 Kumho's) Quote TEAM FLEX ISSUES Car: 1985 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royal 24" Rims HU: 7" Carputer, Planet Audio EQ, iPhone. Berto
how bad is your rim? It was actually fine, well it got some scratches but nothing serious. When I saw my tire roll by me (yeah it passed right by me, it was pretty funny) I was scared to even check the rim out. But there were no bends or cracks on the rim, that inch or so of tire that stuck to it kind of saved it. Berto
wow i bet you were stoked. Thats a scary situation and a minor miracle that nothing happened to your rim Yes I was, especially since I had already planned on buying a TL with the money I'm gonna be spending for tires. I was pretty crazy and I was actually surprised that the rim was fine. This was actually the second time a tire has went out on me, and not surprisingly they were both Kumhos. The first time my rim was useless after the tire went out. the lil left of the side wall can be a PAIN to get off lol i worked in a shop and always got stuck with them jobs. some werent bad but othersgrrr lol. what size are the wheels ? You're the second person to tell me that, good thing me and my dad are cool with some people at a tire shop, that way all I'll get are a couple of jokes thrown at me instead of a fat bill. They're 24s, the tires were 255/30/R24 Damn those are some sharp ass rims literally. Jk man that sux. You should call khumo and see if they can refund you or something that's pretty dangerous Someone said that they wouldn't refund me or anything since I wasn't the original owner.
