EDIT: and yes, this is tinted red. Don't be like me and do your corner lights, the police will love you, in the worst way. Too many projects, too little time... I posted the VHT stuff at advanced cause people have a hard time finding it for some reason lol. Used the nite shades on the jetta. Thinking of redoing it with the rust to see the difference. AUDIOADDICT02
The real professional way is to mix black paint with clear coat. Comes out glossy everytime and you can see straight through it, but if you dont have access to a paint gun and compressor the Rust-Oleum lens tint is the way to go. Dries way glossier than VHT. That's exactly what I do. I see a lot of cars with the "flat black" look on the tail lights, is that from that VHT? I couldn't find it at advanced, the guy there actually told me there was no such thing and I had to buy their tint. and I feel like we're(mostly me) jacking this thread hard, OP hasn't replied at all... That's exactly what I do. I see a lot of cars with the "flat black" look on the tail lights, is that from that VHT? It's not like primer flat, its shiny but you can tell its spray painted plastic, if that makes sense. Start out boxy, shape as you move along. I actually didn't know that, this is kind of what I meant, minus the bumpy texture, it shines but its not glossy. Start out boxy, shape as you move along.
