CNF Kevosinn
I have always loved the look of an aeroport and they seem to get really loud but do they work well for daily driving or on music? or are they only good for tone burst? clouduz
i just made a box with aero ports. I must have a faint hint of port noise because now it's louder and sounds cleaner. So IMO they are definitely for daily use.
Cashdollar2009
It's just another variation of "porting/venting you enclosure. Other than the fact that it is much easier to play around with tuning as you can readjust the length over and over again, where as a wooden port, you build it, and it's done. Many spl boxes use aero ports, many daily boxes use vented. It's all personal preference in my opinion... ptcary
Nothing wrong with them for daily use, you can still tune to your desired frequency. I am doing 8 of them in the PT, just waiting on them to ship out to me. chapo123
i tuned my box to 35hz with 2 4" aeros and eh im going back to vented. it sounds LOUD at 35hz but anything below like 32 or higher then like 39 doesnt sound good at all. they have peaky frequencys imo and everyone tells me its not good to bump with my trunk open because the aeros need the trunk to load off of. eh its all in your opinon. if i ever used aeros again it would just be for a burp car. Quote Steve I don't know why but everytime I see your new paint I want a Dr. Pepper...... is this normal? heres an analogy for you. running a high power stereo without a fuse is like having unprotected sex with that hot chick at the bar with the sketchy sexual history.
