Me PERSONALLY i seen a BAD difference, but my buddy seen a positive one. So idk if the box has anything to do with it at all. Doesn't hurt to try it. Just make sure you dont mess up your surround on the woofer.

kirill007 Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 Inverting subs is only done because of two things. 1) It sometimes looks better. 2) to get more airspace. Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.
Robert8252 Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 It can help if limited on space. You can invert them and not lose speaker displacement in the box. Honestly I had to do it with my 12a because they didn't it in the box. Honestly no real difference but I think it could cause a little more distorion since the sound is having to come through the basket. But than again port sound also comes through the basket but I'm just guessing. Yeah i understand this, the only thing im asking is if you have the same subwoofer, same amp. One inverted and one not, which is going to perform better? I got in an accident an it was ripped out of my box and went thru my window....just something to think of. LOL that was my biggest concern when i had my 4 AQ 18's inverted. Shit looked tough but i could picture getting into a wreck and my kids, wife or myself getting killed my a flying motor. Shit looked boss tho Doethepaperboy "Bars of Pain" Doethepaperboy "Hero Remix" C. Arson d(-__-)b beer sucks...but i can bring some jose cuervo. Only problem is that it makes me horny and gives me the rams. So unless yall wanna fight and then have some great make up sex i will leave it home.
