duh!

...yeah, um no.

Asking a quesion like is X sub louder than Y sub is impossible to answer. A particular sub/box combo may work extremely well in one vehicle will sound like crap and will be whisper quiet in another one.

You may be offended by the above. Don't take it personally, I'm just abrasive.

Peronally I hate the SQ of Solo-Barics they have a slapping sound when they hit and its not appealing... I'd much rather have a little less slap and enjoy the sound of bass than have my mirror flex a couple extra cm's and have it sound like horse shit, but personally the SA-12's should slap the L7's.

Yes I agree but he is comparing 4 subs against 2 therefor there is no comparison. The SA-12's would most definitely get louder in the Correct enclosure. Now if you don't have space for all 4 it would be better to build the correct enclosure for them rather than cramming 4 12's in a 5 cube box.

i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?

looking at putting 4 sa-12's in a trunk but was considering them in a sealed box such as this one http://www.youtube.c...h?v=I0fEs2CYyNc

run off of a saz-2500d

would this setup destroy two kicker L7 12's?

I heard that setup...it was great on house, d&b and various types of dance music - hit really crisp and tight....when standing beside it, with the trunk open it was very much like being in a club next to the speaker...that was his own box as well (and in the vid one or two subs are wired out of phase)

He went ported though...my guys built him a slot ported box in the same fashion...it's really tight on airspace and port area, but he wanted it to be as small as possible... the set up hit's 148+ on music now (two dd m3's @2ohm)

I do however agree on getting more airspace for the sub....this box is also pretty much a trunk set up - but needs much less power to get loud and digs lower

What I can say is that compared to my SoloBarics, when I replaced 2 12's for 2 12's the SA-12's were a much better choice.
