Unless you absolutely have no money to waste, I'd buy a roll of the peal and seal to give it a try. If you like it you buy more, if you don't you didn't lose a lot of money, and maybe you could turn around and sell it or use it on something else. Red4DrPos Posted July 20, 2010 Report Posted July 20, 2010 id go with the fatmat, although i did clean the surfaces with greatstuff and some alcohol...tbh ill be getting more of it to, 4 layers on the roof and 3 all around should do fine in my blazer...btw 50 sq ft did my tailgate 2x and my roof 2x...easy to use and stuck great, was hard to try and take off when i fked it up by accidently putting it on crooked...oh well atleast its still stuck there with high humidy and heat
coobies5 Posted July 20, 2010 Report Posted July 20, 2010 its all about surface prep i have peel and seal on my doors and back wall, 2 layers on the back wall and one layer on the doors, it has not fallen off and will not fall off. i live in south texas where in the summer its over 100F almost everyday. and i've also had it for almost 2 years now. white4d96 Posted July 20, 2010 Report Posted July 20, 2010 I have 3 layers of P&S on my trunk lid, and a sporadic layer on trunk floors and quarterpanels, and I had only slight issues with it peeling in random spots. I just mashed the offending areas back down and haven't had issues since. I did have problems with it in one door, but that was because I couldn't get into the door skin to properly apply it. Just make sure you have a clean surface and you're golden. Too many projects, too little time...
